What better way to explore Finland than a roadtrip! There are lots of routes that offer it all: breathtaking sceneries, interesting stories and must-see places – and we have collected the best parts for you. This is the first one that will take you to:

Tasty trip in Häme

Order your rental car right at your hotel in Tampere and start your tasty roadtrip with delicious breakfast at Tampere Market Hall where you can enjoy local delicacies.

After city start, head on to the beautiful and green countryside.Ilola Farm House is open all year round, offering farmer’s market, petting zoo with sheep, goats, horses and rabbits, equipment rental and holiday packages.

Now continue to Pälkäne. Laitikkala village has been nominated as The Tasty Village since there are so many local food producers. Try Rönnvik Winery, one of the first Finnish wineries that makes wines, beers, lemonades and spritzers out of Finnish berries. There are also berry picking farms, local butcheries, and cheese makers in the region.

When you head northwards, you may soon suspect you have left Finland and come to Africa. At ostrich farm Strutsitila Syrjynen you can really meet ostriches as well as sheep, rabbits and deer. Buy some meet at their Farmer’s market or have a coffee break.

Your next stop will be an organic farm at Heikin Leipä. They started organic farming as early as in the 1970’s, and now the farm is famous for their rye bread made of Finland’s oldest dough root. Here you can purchase flour, bread and other local products. The farm is located in an island, so after shopping, hire a SUP board or a canoe and have a tour on the lake before heading back to Tampere.
